    UNIT TITLE: PERFORM INTERNAL EMERGENCY SERVICE WIRING

    UNIT CODE: CONElM3016A2

    UNIT DESCRIPTOR: This unit covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform internal emergency service wiring. It includes preparing for works, installing change over switch, CC TV and camera line, generator line connection, solar home system, Instant Power Supply (IPS) line and maintaining workplace, tools, equipment and materials.

    NOMINAL HOURS: 50 Hours

    LEARNING OUTCOME: At the end of this session, learners will be able to-

    In addition to the online course . Physical demonstration is mandatory for this course , so i should go for Blended Course.
    Lets go for 3 week of online course and 1 week of face to face training ( Blended Course ) .

    Total Course :   21 days

    Online Course :  2 Week 

                               ( 5 days per week for 1 hour ) 

                                   ( Saturday - Wednesday )

    Face to Face : 1 Week 

                             ( 5 days daily 3 hours and 

                                         1 day final assessment for 5 hour )

    Personal Protective Equipment, commonly referred to as "PPE", is equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. These injuries and illnesses may result from contact with chemical, radiological, physical, electrical, mechanical, or other workplace hazards. Personal Protective Equipment may include items such as below:

    • Helmet
    • Safety goggles
    • Mask
    • Apron
    • Hand gloves
    • Safety shoe

    Electrical tools are tools used to work on an electrical system. These can include a wide range of tools such as below:

    • Multimeter/AVO meter
    • Earth tester
    • Megger
    • Pliers set
    • Screwdrivers set
    • Adjustable wrenches
    • Wire splicers

    • Neon tester
    • Hammer
    • Mallet

    Electrical Material is basically the parts or elements used in the making of any electrical construction project. These can include a wide range of materials such as below:

    • Wire
    • Socket
    • Switch
    • PVC tap
    • Cable
    • Solar home system

  • Prepare for works

    1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is collected and worn as per job requirement.
    2. Workplace is prepared as per job requirement.
    3. Tools and materials are selected & collected as per job requirement.

  • Elements of Competency: Install CC TV and camera line

    1. Connection point is selected for CC camera connection as per drawing.
    2. Cable is laid as per diagram.
    3. Cable is connected with the CC TV camera as standard operation requirement.
    4. DVR is connected with CC camera.
    5. DVR is connected with computer.
    6. Performance is checked.

  • Elements of Competency: Install generator line connection

    1. Installation area is marked on the wall surface according to the drawing and layout.
    2. Insulation of wire is removed by 2 to 3 inches.
    3. Cable lug is punched with cable terminal
    4. Cable is laid according to the drawing
    5. Generator is connected with the changeover switch.
    6. All connections are checked according to the drawing.
    7. Performance of the generator is checked through switch OFF / ON.

  • Elements of Competency: Install solar home system

    1. Solar panel installation area is marked according to the drawing and layout.
    2. Panel is installed following 45-degree angle in south face.
    3. One end of power cable is connected with solar home system and another end is connected with charge controller.
    4. Charge controller and battery are connected as per drawing.
    5. Battery and inverted are connected as per drawing.
    6. Load and inverter are connected as per drawing.
    7. All connections are checked according to the drawing.
    8. Performance of the solar home system is checked.

  • Elements of Competency: Install Instant Power Supply (IPS) line

    1. The cable is laid as per diagram.
    2. The cable is connected with the IPS system.
    3. Performance of the install instant power supply (IPS). is checked through switch OFF / ON.

  • Elements of Competency: Maintain workplace, tools, equipment and materials

    1. Work area is cleaned in accordance with workplace procedures.
    2. Unused materials are stored for re-use or disposed following workplace procedures.
    3. Waste and scrap materials are disposed with following workplace procedures.
    4. Inventory of tools equipment are conducted and recorded as per checklist.
    5. Tools and equipment are cleaned and stored as per manufacturer's recommendation in appropriate location.
