UNIT TITLE: PERFORM CONDUIT WIRING

UNIT DESCRIPTOR: This unit covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform conduit wiring. It includes preparing for works, performing concealed conduit wiring, performing surface conduit wiring and maintaining workplace, tools, equipment and materials.
NOMINAL HOURS: 70 Hours
LEARNING OUTCOME: At the end of this session, learners will be able to-
- Prepare for works.
- Perform concealed conduit wiring.
- Perform surface conduit wiring.
- Maintain workplace, tools, equipment and materials.

In addition to the online course . Physical demonstration is mandatory for this course , so i should go for Blended Course.
Lets go for 3 week of online course and 1 week of face to face training ( Blended Course ) .

Face to Face : 1 Week

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is collected and worn as per job requirement.
- Workplace is prepared as per job requirement.
- Tools and materials are selected and collected as per job requirement.

- Conduit is installed as per lay-out diagram on the roof.
- Wall is marked as per layout diagram and cut the groove on the wall using grinding machine, chisel and hammer.
- Conduit is installed inside the groove using saddle clamp.
- Switch box and junction box is installed inside in the groove using clipping nail.
- Cable is laid into the conduit from switch board to load point with the help of fish / Gl wire as required.
- Electrical fittings are installed on the wall as per diagram.
- Cable is connected with fittings.
- Cable is laid from SDB to MDB.
- Connection is checked using meter.
- Circuit is operated by power supply.

- Wall is marked as per layout diagram and drilled the marked point into the wall using drill machine.
- Rowel plug is installed inside the hole by using ball pin hammer.
- Conduit is installed on the wall using saddle clamp.
- Switch box and Junction box is installed on the wall screw firmly.
- Cable is laid into the conduit from switch board to load point with the help of fish / Gl wire.
- Electrical fittings are installed on the wall as per diagram.
- Connected the cable with fittings and cable is laid from SDB to MDB.
- Connection is checked using meter.
- Circuit is operated by power supply.

- Work area is cleaned in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Unused materials are stored for re-use or disposed following workplace procedures.
- Waste and scrap materials are disposed with following workplace procedures.
- Inventory of tools equipment are conducted and recorded as per checklist.
- Tools and equipment are cleaned and stored as per manufacturer's recommendation in appropriate location.
