    Unit Descriptor- 

    This unit covers the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to perform channel wiring. It includes preparing for work. performing channel wiring and maintaining workplace, tools, equipment, and materials.

    Learning outcome-

    At the end of the session, learners will be able to 

    • How to perform the channel wiring
    • How to perform wall drilling and Rawal plug  fixing
    • How to perform cable laying in the channel.

    SAFETY HELMETS

    (also known as hard hats) can prevent or minimize injuries to the head and brain, protecting against falling objects or debris, impact with other objects, electric shock, and rain. Most head injuries can be avoided if the proper head protection is selected, used and maintained.

    SAFETY GOGGLE

    Goggles are eye protector intended to fit the face immediately surrounding the eyes in order to shield the eyes from variety of hazards.

     

    MASK

    A dust mask is a flexible paper pad held over the nose and mouth by elastic or rubber straps for personal comfort against non-toxic nuisance dusts. They are not intended to provide protection from toxic airborne hazards.

     

    APRON

    The apron provides an additional layer of protection to the front of the body against exposure to body fluids or excrement from the patient.

    GLOVES

    Safety gloves are designed to protect a worker's hands from hazards so that they can perform their job safely. Gloves come in many different materials that offer protection against specific dangers.

    SAFETY SHOES

    Safety footwear is defined as “Footwear that incorporates protective features to protect the wearer from injuries which could arise through accidents.

    In addition to the online course . Physical demonstration is mandatory for this course , so i should go for Blended Course.
    Lets go for 3 week of online course and 1 week of face to face training ( Blended Course ) .

    Total Course :   21 days

    Online Course :  2 Week 

                               ( 5 days per week for 1 hour ) 

                                   ( Saturday - Wednesday )

    Face to Face : 1 Week 

                             ( 5 days daily 3 hours and 

                                         1 day final assessment for 5 hour )

    What is pvc chamnnel?
    PVC Channel is a polyvinyl chloride enclosure that typically has a rectangular cross-section with a removable side on top and slots at the sides. PVC Channels are also commonly called PVC Cable Tray, Electrical Raceway, Panel Trunking, Slotted Trunking, etc.
    Where PVC channel wiring are used?
    PVC Cable Channels
    The offered wiring channels are used in electrical, automobile, refrigeration and civil industries for cable wiring purpose. It is used to protect, encase, and organize wires and cables in control panels, distribution boards, network racks, etc.

    Demonstration :

    Practice Activity / Procedure :

    • Step -1 : Follow OSH.
    • Step -2 : PPE is collected and worn as per job requirement.
    • Step -3 : Workplace is prepared as per job requirement.
    • Step -4 : Tools, materials and drawing are collected as per job requirement.
    • Step -5 : Circuit materials are placed on the board.
    • Step -6 : Circuit accessories are fitted and connected using flexible wire as per drawing.
    • Step -7 : Circuit connection is checked according to the drawing.
    • Step -8 : Electrical circuit connection is checked using series lamp.
    • Step -9 : Series circuit is tested with connected power supply.
    • Step -10 : Tools and equipment are cleaned and stored as per manufacturer's recommendation in appropriate location.
