UNIT TITLE: PERFORM CONCEALED WORK
UNIT CODE: CONElM2010A2
UNIT DESCRIPTOR: This unit covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform concealed work. It includes preparing for works, performing switch box installation, installing junction box, performing pipe fitting in the roof, performing grove cutting and maintaining workplace, tools, equipment and materials.
NOMINAL HOURS: 50 Hours
LEARNING OUTCOME: At the end of this session, learners will be able to-
- Prepare for works.
- Perform switch box installation.
- Install junction box.
- Perform pipe fitting in the roof.
- Perform grove cutting.
- Maintain workplace, tools, equipment and materials.

In addition to the online course . Physical demonstration is mandatory for this course , so i should go for Blended Course.
Lets go for 3 week of online course and 1 week of face to face training ( Blended Course ) .
Total Course : 21 days
Online Course : 2 Week
( 5 days per week for 1 hour )
( Saturday - Wednesday )
Face to Face : 1 Week
( 5 days daily 3 hours and
1 day final assessment for 5 hour )

1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is collected and worn as per job requirement.
2. Workplace is prepared as per job requirement.
3. Tools, and materials are selected and collected as per job requirement. -
- Wall is marked as per layout diagram.
- Grove is cut using grinding machine and chisel hammer.
- Switch box is fitted into grove using nail.

- Fitting points are marked as per drawing.
- Pipes are laid on the roof as per drawing.
- Pipes are connected with fittings.
- Pipes are tighten using Gl wire.
- Terminal points of pipe are covered using paper to protect from cement / sand.

- Work area is cleaned in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Unused materials are stored for re-use or disposed following workplace procedures.
- Waste and scrap materials are disposed with following workplace procedures.
- Inventory of tools equipment are conducted and recorded as per checklist.
- Tools and equipment are cleaned and stored as per manufacturer's recommendation in appropriate location.
