I feel inspired seeing the video of Girija, Sri Lanka. In spite of having several challenges, she continued her study with an aim to become successful in life. Journey was not so easy for her but she was able to move forward for the support of her family. Unlike most rural families of Sri Lanka where women are not encouraged or permitted for higher education, Girija’s parents’ thought was a bit different. After getting training from ILO, she was able to change her life through getting a job. If Girija could take any competency based technical/vocational training besides her education she could achieve more success in terms of self dependency and financial solvency. Her efforts to grow further are really praise worthy.
