Empowering Indigenous Women in Bolivia's Construction Sector
Generally, the minority communities in Bangladesh are lagging behind in all socio-economic development indicators.
According to the 2011 census conducted by the Government of Bangladesh, the country's indigenous population comprises approximately 1,586,141, 1.8% of the country's total population. However, indigenous peoples in Bangladesh claim that their population is approximately 5 million.
Bangladesh Government has already taken Policy initiatives for the Development of women & ethnic minorities.
The participation of women in skills development programs will be increased by:
- Offering a broader range of traditional and non-traditional skills training programs that could improve the employability of women;
- Reviewing programs and their delivery modes to assess their gender friendliness;
- Increasing enrolment rates for females across all skills development programs
- Providing a gender friendly environment for female students;
- Providing separate washrooms for male and female students;
- Employing female instructors where possible
- Implementing a workplace harassment prevention policy in public institutions;

- To Provide stipend
- Increase Awareness building program
